Blakeney Trip June 2009
Norfolk trip. 8-9th June 2009

8 members set off to Norfolk. The weather was good on the first day. After checking into the hotel in Sutton Staithe, we went along the coast to Happisburgh. An interesting area with the coastal erosion and sea defences. Hopefully some good pics were taken here. Then it was off to the pub for lunch. The afternoon was spent in Sea Palling on the beach. This was followed by a combination of tea, ice cream and doughnuts!

Back at the hotel, a few went for a walk along the river, some went to their rooms whilst others got stuck straight into the wine before dinner.
Dinner was good, food excellent and we all enjoyed the evening.

Poor Sue B got her fingers caught in a sash window but the hotel were very good at looking after her and dressed it accordingly.

The following morning the weather was not kind to us for our seal trip. It was raining all the way to Blakeney but we put on water proofs and got the boat. Unfortunately not many seals were about.

After drying off and having tea and cake, we went to Cromer.  We walked along the sea front, had lunch and then the sun came out so we went back to the beach and pier for some more photos.

On the way home we stopped at a photo exhibition where there were some very good photos to be seen.

As with all our WMPC trips, everyone got on well and hopefully we have all got some good pictures.

So my thanks go to Brian C, Peter, Caz, Brian and Pauline, Mary H and Sue B for coming along and making the trip very enjoyable.

I will now start planning another trip maybe for the autumn………watch this space I have plenty of ideas…….
