WMPC TRIPS PLANNED FOR 2010
SPAIN
To visit Guadix which is on the A92 in the Provence of Granada Andalucia. Near the Sierra Nevada mountains. Interesting feature of Guadix is the cave houses. It is about one hours drive from Almeria airport.
The plan is a 4 day trip and staying in a hotel and hiring a car. Dates will be Tuesday 27 to Friday 30th April.
Anyone interested please come to a meeting at The Seal pub in Woodbridge on Tuesday 23rd Feb at 7.30pm to discuss the details so flights and hotel, car hire can be booked asap.
Sudbury/Bures, River Stour
Sunday 16th May
The banks of the Stour can be walked easily from Sudbury. Sudbury is the oldest recorded town in Suffolk, so lots to photograph. There is also the Victorian bathing place on the common land, worth a visit. And Bures a bit further down river has a mill and the millennium bridge.
3 day trip to Spalding Lincs
28-30 June.
There is loads around this area to visit and photograph, from the flatlands of the fen to historic houses, owl centre, butterfly and wildlife park, Crowland Abbey, Romany museum, tropical forest………to name a few……..
Anyone interested to contact me asap and a date can be arranged to discuss the details in early March.
48 mile drive through 'Lovejoy' country.
Sunday 1st August
The drive starts at Lavenham and ends in Bury St Edmunds. It takes you through pretty villages and various places of interest. The idea is to make up cars and give each car a map and meet up at the places on the way to take pics, eat and drink. Something different to what we have done before.
Again anyone interested to see me and I can give more info.
WORKSHOPS
Nothing definite as yet planned but ideas of going to Southwold or Orford, Framlingham perhaps.
Need anyone interested in being a group leader, to come forward please. And need to know if membership would prefer a weekday, weekend or summer evening…….
No dates as yet but in summer time especially if evening meets are favourite.
