'Wickham Market Photo Club is a small but lively club that welcomes new members of whatever age or level of expertise. There is always plenty going on as apart from our club meetings (7.30pm, first Friday of everymonth) we have three Selection and Discussion evenings to talk about and select our entries for the inter-club battles we are involved in each year, and this year we are also planning to run a series of Workshops covering basic princliples of photography, how to get the best out of your camera, and how to use Photoshop. All that for just £18 a year. We also have many outside visits, in 2008 we had day visits to Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Maldon, Canterbury and London, plus a 3-day trip to France and Belgium and 2 days in Norfolk, and this year we are in Venice for 3 days in May, plus trips to Blakeney, Ely and the Shuttleworth Collection. But more important than the lectures, demonstrations, presentations, inter-club and internal competitions and the outdoor visits is the friendly welcome you will find waiting for you whether you come as a new member or merely as a guest.
